NORMAL Inc Care Bag Program
S.H.A.P.E. mission in food, health, & well-being
The Care Bag program provides two bags of groceries per needy family to ensure that all children can grow and thrive by having love, a good home life, nutritious food. The Care Bag Program once a month works from a list of referrals that are submitted by local organizations or the families that complete the paperwork for assitance.
This is a year round program, but the needs seem to increase during the winter months. Donations are welcome and encouranged to help sustain the program and wipe out hunger.
Stopping hunger is the objective of the program, but the benefits also include:
* Better School Attendance by the children.
* Improved health for the youth and their family.
* Improved home life for the family as a unit.
* Better Focus and Participation as citizens.
